What color eyleliner/eyeshadow should i use?

So i have a lighter purple prom dress with a frosty sheen to it. I have hazel eyes but sometimes i where blue contacts. i also have light brown hair. what color eyeshadow/eyeliner should i wear? (ideas for both eye colors please)
