Is it a bad idea to look for a teller job if I just graduated with an accounting degree?

I have no accounting experience. Just a lot of retail experience. i know that being a bank teller does not pay well and only requires a hs diploma. but Im hoping that it can be kind of a stepping stone since right now im makimg min wage.
